Well, I was wrong about the demise of Jim Robinson's FreeRepublic....
...they are back with their usual bugfuck insanity. The main topic of ooze this morning is how their precious, little Sarah Palin is being unfairly treated. Note to the one-step-away-from-a-padded-cell:

THE TINA FEY LOOK-A-LIKE WAS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WHY SENATOR MCCAIN LOST IN A LANDSLIDE.

Get over it, you bunch of fucking morons.

1. At least they've accepted McCain lost in a landslide.
the day after the election I heard Hannity say Obama had a narrow win.

11. It takes One percent to have a mandate
Edited on Sun Nov-09-08 02:14 PM by Turbineguy
Obama had six percent. Therefore, no mandate.

2. I guess the old Commodore finally died
and Jim Bob had to go begging for money to buy a new server.

Still, it was nice to see it gone for a day.

15. I heard he found a C-128 on ebay and finally did the upgrade
Maybe next year, it will finally be time to make the big move to the Amiga, if the "Freepathon" goes well.

i can't even go there right now. I went yesterday and was threatened and screamed at by morans typing in all CAPS about how Newsweek and the Secret Service LIED about Palin -- it's a conspiracy to say she caused violence against the President Elect, dontchaknow?

They've gone off the deeper end. I'm layin low so I don't get hit with spittle. God knows what kind of diseases those knuckle draggers have.

7. I for one am glad we might have Palin to slap around for awhile ...
I am hopeful the GOP will continue to embrace this extremely divisive figure, and continue to whittle down their tenuous coalition, shedding even greater number of moderates; to the point that those in FR will cling to a rump party with few resources and even fewer chances to win office ...

Enjoy the desolation of the wilderness you created for yourselves, assholes ...

My extreme RW brothers will join them there ....

9. I am thankful my brother married a woman who
grew up in a very Liberal home. He was headed toward nutsville, I know she opened his eyes. He was a bush apologist, she got him to read Obama's book. Guess who he voted for?

8. LOL. It was "teh librul media" not that Palin was a fundie nutcase.... yeah, right.
This is EXACTLY why reports of the rightwings' demise are greatly exaggerated. 1) The real force behind it has enough money behind it to continue no matter what. 2) The foot soldiers (freepers) are dumb as a sack of hammers in the rain. They bought the propaganda hook, line and sinker and will NEVER change.

17. Same As It Ever Was...
with the freepers. It would be difficult to find a smaller minority. Maybe the Stormfront folks, but that's about it.

If the freepers are for something, go all in on the opposite position.

Also, for Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Keith and Rachel, Katie Couric, and the internet. (Yay Al Gore!)

14. "I lapped up every squeal and screech on Freerepublic.com that I could."
snip

The Fox execs also did their best to affect a civil, gracious tone. That's why watching the Fox News agony-of-defeat spectacle was more subtle than I'd expected: The mob leaders had decided to abandon the mob -- meaning if I wanted to get a glimpse into the raw screeching agony that the right wing really feels when the camera is turned off, I would have to head into the blog world, where they could squeal their lungs out in safe anonymity. The "patriots" at Freerepublic.com, which boasts millions of visitors, went through at least four rapid stages of decline on Election Day: first, hope; then utter shock at the realization of defeat; then outrage and a sense of betrayal; and finally a retreat into Christian prayer and empty threats of Red Dawn armed insurrection. The Freepers aren't just outraged at Obama and the communist-Islamo-terrorists taking over the White House; they are also outraged at the Republican Party that "betrayed" them, outraged at the American population that proved to be nothing but brainwashed "sheeple" (someone named kimchilover wrote, "For the first time, in my adult life, I am ashamed of my country … my little take on Michelle's sentiments"), and even outraged at, yes, Fox News, which they quickly sensed was abandoning them. Many couldn't make sense of being abandoned by Fox. As one commenter wrote, "Watch Fox with the sound off and you will be LESS aggravated."

I lapped up every squeal and screech on Freerepublic.com that I could. Gloating is a healthy human activity, nothing to be ashamed of. How could you not gloat when you watch a thread that goes from this:

My friend, wait until 11 or 12 Eastern time before drawing any conclusions, by then you will see the Palin landslide!! (by word_warrior_bob)

To this:

Turn out the lights. Party is over. Go to bed. ... Election is lost. I'm gonna get drunk. (by GerardKempf)

And the most desperate, toothless woofing stance of all, so popular among the harmless nerds in Freeperland:

above quoting:

Watching Them Squirm: Is Fox News Abandoning the Mob It Created?

By Mark Ames, AlterNet. Posted November 7, 2008. (Please see the original article for some good links.)

A huge schism develops between Fox's post-election attempts at "civility" and its pitchfork-wielding audience.

19. Wow - I looked up the quote that forum entry has about FR talking about the Jewish vote
and the sudden hatred for Jews is horrifying to behold. Some of them manage to restrict it just to anyone Jewish who voted for Obama; but some of them express hatred for all Jews, and Israel, because 77% of the Jewish vote went to Obama.

The thread could be at home in Mein Kampf. :scared:
