That was Mormon doctrine until declared illegal. It seems a bit hypocritical for the Mormons to weigh in on marriages of any kind.

So that Utah could become a state may make them feel like they have the right to tell others that they have no right to get married. They may think why should homosexuals have the right to get married when I do not have the right to practice my belief of having more then one wife.
