Too many of us are willing to allow the government to take charge of our lives.

Lazy, ignorant, greedy, who knows!

Too many of us on the right too.
I can’t tell you though how frustrating it is having mostly liberal friends who are outright giddy about Obama. It’s actually disturbing to think that people would be so enamored with a politician.

I’ve refused to talk to mine. No one has called me, and I’m not calling them.

Great post, sent it to my whole family to scare the wits out of them. Not that they aren’t already aware of the storm overhead, but hey, why not add some ions to the atmosphere!

I haven’t talked to them for the most part, but I’ve seen their facebook statuses and I’ve been in contact with a friend who interacts with them daily. I feel sorry for her. It’s difficult being a conservative in California... and on a college campus.

If he was only a politician it wouldn’t be so terrible but he’s so much worse than that.

Evil man surrounded by evil people. Choosing the worst of the worst from the Klinton regime.

Government, led by both Democrats and Republicans, started ignoring these limitations long ago, and has now grown into a people-management machine that would make Karl Marx proud.
Laying blame where it belongs, on the gubment. Very, very scary! Patriotism must and will prevail!

Marxism lasted in the USSR from the revolution in 1918, with membership of Bolsheviks around 200,000, until 1991. It didn’t take a majority to pull off the revolution and entrenchment of the Marxist economy. The majority was ‘non-party’ members ruled by a minority, but the majority was disarmed.

Let’s hope we take a shorter time to turn it around.

1. Someone needs to show them this quote
from the God of the free market holy rollers himself, Adam Smith: The Wealth of Nations:

"It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue but something more than in that proportion."

Smith was actually far more liberal than a good deal of his current disciples want to think, or even acknowledge. He would be appalled to see how his teachings are being twisted and distorted in favor of the very policies he decried.

Of course, you might have to read it to some of them. Then you'll need to stand back to watch for exploding brain matter, lol!

12. I don't know where this myth came from, that Smith was anti-government
He was a bureaucrat. He sat at a desk and did paperwork pursuant to telling businesses what they could and could not do. Rightwingers for some reason assume that their ideas are so fundamental that Adam Smith, the father of economics as we know it, must have advocated them.

2. good times
If only they knew what Marxism was in the first place, they'd probably recognize it in the Marxist-Leninist structure of their party. Well, what's left of it anyway. :)

13. Not to mention St. Ronnie of Reagan!
You'd think he was Chairman Mao in China for the way they worship him. Much to the confusion, befuddlement and amusement of future generations, I'm sure.

9. Oh God, the best post on that thread yet!
You are correct. This Obama election has caused me to rewrite my will. Since I consider the support of Obama so outrageous I written out all those relatives who supported him. I'm a man of means so this will costs serveral of them well over a million dollars. When I told them this they were shell shocked. Speechless were they. I told them that I cannot give money to anyone who supports a redistributionist like Obama. I told them that Obama would get the money anyway if he increases the death tax which he wants to do. There loss is charities gain.
This is the type of thing we all need to do to shock the living hell out of the Obama supporters. Believe me they were shocked that I would do something like this. They looked like they had seen a ghost.

It sounds like this guy is lying through his teeth. How pathetic. Makes you wonder how many over there in freeperland have pumped themselves up like that. What a sorry bunch of lunatic losers.

"redistributionist" -- most ridiculous word that I have ever heard of. Shame on McCain for coming up with it.

Well, at least from what he included in that particular post it doesn't.

19. What a bunch of ignorance...
that is sad and pathetic.

"It’s actually disturbing to think that people would be so enamored with a politician." and what exactly did those fools do when shurb was selected and then re-selected??

They can not seem to make up their minds or their just too stupid and have no clue what they are talking about: According to these morons Obama is a Marxist, Bolshevik, Socialist, Communist?? All they do is ramble and never make a damn bit of sense.

The reality is that the religious fascist/reich wing are no as nearly as strong in number as we were lead to believe, if they were, then McCrypt/Falin would have been elected with ease, however the out come was very different. We have to make sure we keep religious fascist/reich wing in check and never allow them to have power over us ever again.
