12. I'll second that

It's shocking that universal health insurance is such a hard sell in the USA. But that fact provides further proof of the corporate domination of discourse here.

20. Exactly, I still do not think that I will see it...
any time soon. I hope I will see it but I do not have much hope that I will see it. So many people are still convinced that we have good healthcare here.

15. The 1960's and early 70's era, where the people were starting to come together until Nixon/Ford
policies, along with OPEC put us on the road to the Reagan era. After 30 years of Reagan polices controling the country, we have to stand strong and not let another era of greed happen. Reagan and the neo cons damn near destroyed everything this country once stood for. Wheres the pride this country once took in helping those who couldn't help themselves.

Wheres the pride that this country once took in morals, I'm not talking about the morals or pretend morals of the right, but the morals that we once had that allowed people to be who they are and it wasn't our job to protect people from themselves.

Wheres the pride we once had that no matter who was gunning for the US, we stood our ground and refused to give into fear, looking for big brother to protect us. Sure we had moments when there were people like McCarthy scared the people, but then america woke up in short time and booted his type out. What we see today is the grand children of those McCarthy kiss ups and we have had 30 years of fear generated republicon rule.

I for one never want to see it again.

34. Yeah, I agree! In fact, a candidate who professes membership in any organized religion
should be scrutinized even more rigorously to make sure his or her religulous beliefs don't interfere with upholding the Constitution.
