Me too. :-)

It's just one very lovely day after another this weather.

2. I'm all wobbly kneed at the spectacle of Bush playing the "gracious host"...
...because it's just not in his character. I'm sure he'd rather be a-smirkin' and a-swaggerin' over President Elect McCain, but he's just gonna have to take a deep breath and realize that the cameras are rolling.

4. Many parents do that, as protection for their children. . .

Seems a sensible approach, one my wife and I did whenever we flew without the children when they were young.

On edit: I say "seems sensible," but I have to admit I found it somewhat odd that we did this only with air flights, and not with other modes of transport, considering how much more dangerous cars and buses are than are jets. I wonder if the Obamas did this during the campaign? Or if there was some reason for one of them to get to DC earlier than the other?

6. My Guess
Because they have 2 daughters and God forbid if something should happen to that plane, the girls would still have one parent. Don't mean to sound morbid, but I worry every breathing second about something happening to President Obama.

5. For the obligatory photo-op I hope Obama rubs Bush head like a little boy
like Bush does to demean his staff on occasion.
