Sir Paul McCartney to serenade new first lady with "Michele?" I heard
a blip about this this morning on MSNBC. They said that Paul had requested to perform at the inauguration, and that he wanted to serenade "Michele." I hope this is true, because it is just too cool. This whole thing is just so incredible and global.

2. Entertainment Tonight:
Sir Paul McCartney wants to Serenade Michelle Obama!

http://www.etonline.com/news/2008/11/67498/

Sir Paul McCartney has a special song he wants to sing to the future First Lady!

The former Beatle says he would like to sing to Michelle Obama the famous song from the '60's appropriately titled "Michelle," People reports. "I hope to get the opportunity to sing ... to (Barack Obama's) wife. I have a little song ready for him," McCartney said.

McCartney talks about his excitement to learn that Obama would be the President-elect. "I was so 'fingers crossed' he would win it," said McCartney. "I'm so chuffed."

"I think sincerely (Obama) is the man for the job. I think it is a legendary occasion and I wish him the very best," McCartney told Britain's Sky News at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

5. It's been a while since I've seen a photo of Sir Paul
He's aged. I knew the divorce was messy, but that last marriage must have been rough.

10. He supposedly has a song about it on his upcoming album...
...I read a description and some lyrics. It's the kind of thing he produced in a moment of anger and resentment, the kind of thing one hopes will be taken off the album before the final cut. He's better than a "f-you" song" (not including "Let Me Roll It," of course, which was the McCartney variant of John Lennon's "How Do You Sleep?")...

6. Thats too bad
I really don't like Paul. He was not among the better half of the Beatles in my opinion.

14. Maybe he could also sing "Imagine". don't know if he ever has, but
it might be a fitting tribute. Maybe also: "Here Comes the Sun" or "Give Me Love."

12. No catered menu with fake-ass cowboy items
No photos of the Bush daughters making the "hook 'em horns" sign while Junior sits back and smirks.

No more, period.

Time to whip out Aerosmith's "No More, No More," I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfxwObpkgcc

18. I sure hope MSNBC didn't refer to Macca as "Sir Paul"
Americans are not supposed to recognize English titles, and yet the mass media keeps up with it. :eyes:
