3. Dropped the F Bomb
Strangely though, it was when he was quoting someone so its wasn't an act of passion but stupidity.

9. The more I think about it..

...the less of a surprise it should be. He's been getting weirder lately with his far-right wing crap. I don't know, maybe he finally just completely lost track of what was coming out of his mouth.

13. it was a slip
he made that clear in the aftermath

I can't stand him, but I believe he just slipped up. He was referring to Emanuel telling people "fuck you" and apparently Emanuel does that a lot. He is really agitated over Emanuel because he knows he'll chew up some pugs and spit them out. He should get a wrist-slap.

15. Just watched it.
My mouth hit the floor. WOW! He looked like a dear in headlights after he said it. It was like he was thinking in his head "What did I do, uh oh." while still trying to keep talking about the story. I remember one time when I was kid I was talking to a kid beside me and I didn't think anyone could here me and I said "Fuck this." I thought only the kid next to me heard it. Then I looked up and realized that everyone including the teacher heard me. I got two days vacation for that one. Live and learn.

16. It rolled off his tongue so naturally, I thought it was hilarious.
I would think he'd be assigned a little vacation over it. We'll have to wait and see if he's there tomorrow morning.

12. He'll probably be back on in a few days...
The execs will probably have to kiss a few asses at the FCC, though since the execs are righties, Joe's a righties, and the FCC's run by righties until Jan. 20th, they'll probably just wink and let it slide.

Joe will probably get chewed out by the big bosses, maybe pay a contract-stipulated fine to MSNBC, and be back on the air in a day or two.

14. The person to fire is the one whose job it is to use that 7 second delay button.
As much as I despise Joe RNC, this F bomb didn't bother me at all when I saw it on video. He was actually complimenting the Obama team, and was effectively mimicking what a GOP McCain operative had said.

This isn't like Imus' "nappy headed hoes," or Schuster's "pimping out Chelsea." There was no specific target to Joe's comment, no one who was being identified and attacked.

I think it'll blow over in a hurry. He'll apologize profusely, say he was repeating a story just told, plead Ambien or lack of sleep, and go on.

20. Another DU Tempest In A Tea Pot
For so many who claim to be "enlightened", it was amusing to watch the "prude" side come out here. Yes, I know what the "outrage" was about and knew it was a bunch of nothing.

So Joey dropped the "f-bomb"...it's not ever used on DU...yeah, right. Or that people are truly offended by the word. I find it more offensive when Joey misquotes or attacks with no merit...that I find highly offensive rather than a simple word...no matter how "taboo" it is. Truth is, there probably hasn't been a day in my life over the past 40 years since I learned the meaning of the word I haven't heard it used.

The bottom line is he slipped...and it happens more times than not on a live broadcast. I can cite a bunch of stories in my own career where I slipped. Once I garbled the word Oshkosh City Hall...try saying that real fast three times. So, while it's fun to pile on Joey...and the reaction of those on his panel to his slip was amusing, it was no harm no foul....as it should be.

Cheers...
