'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK' Virus

I received this email from my sister.

My GF already received one of these emails.

DO NOT OPEN ANYTHING THAT READS "POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK"

It will be from someone in your address book.


The following is a copy of an email from a techie friend...

Does that mean if you open the email or just recieving it?

As it turns out, the "Postcard" was legit.

I feel like an idiot.

From the replies I received, this could be an Urban Legend.

But I would rather err, on the edge of caution, any day.

6. Protect yourself: Always use web e-mail

If you use an e-mail client to download your e-mails, you don't know what you're downloading. The better web mail services scan attachments and warn you beforehand, if they're suspect.
