Associated Press Shilling for Bush...Shameless Until The End.
I'm glad the transition is going smoothly, but to paint Bush as "Gracious Statesman" is a stretch.. (IMHO)

Analysis: Bush handing over power to Obama with grace

WASHINGTON – No matter how people remember President Bush's time in office, let there be no doubt about how he wants to end it: gracefully.

Outgoing presidents support the new guy.

And on that front, Bush is going well beyond the minimum. He has embraced the role of statesman with such gusto that it has been hard to miss.

The result is that Bush's last image at the White House will be one of a magnanimous leader. Whether it will improve his legacy is another matter.

"This has been a very good moment late in his presidency, and, I think it's fair to say, much appreciated by the nation," said Cal Jillson, a political science professor at Southern Methodist University, the home of Bush's planned presidential library.

1. He's grateful
That a Democrat has been hired to clean up the mess. Now he can go back to Texas and get some serious drinkin' and golfin' done.

2. I only have one question for all of them
Does he have a fugging choice? Bush is no statesman - he's a fugging war criminal who violated the Constitution with impunity.

3. B.t.w., there have been massive protests at Southern Methodist U. against said library --
the faculty of the divinity school have been particularly outspoken against it; appeals are still pending within the Methodist Church governance.
