FOX...Who?

Fox News Cut Out From Questions At Obama's First Press

President-Elect Barack Obama held his first press conference yesterday, one that focused mainly on the current economic crisis. One detail that flew under the radar, however, was which networks and newpapers got to ask questions, or, rather, which one didn't get to ask a question. As Media Bistro notes, one network who was not called upon sticks out: Fox News.

It will be interesting to see how the conservative network adjusts to a political reality in which the Democratic Party holds the White House and substantial majorities in both houses of Congress. Michael Wolff, a Vanity Fair columnist who is writing an authorized biography on Rupert Murdoch's career and family, claims that even Murdoch is embarrassed by Fox News..cont'd

4. if Murdoch is embarrassed, he should do something about it...
otherwise, FAUX 'news' can take a flying f*k at the moon, for all I care. I'm tired of their dim-witted bobble heads spewing tabloid propaganda and trying to tell me that it's news. It's not. So good riddance to bad rubbish.

5. The Network Never Worked Well In The Majority
This network was set up in '96 when the GOOP had its full designs on the White House and total domination. They were the opposition, and in those days, people couldn't really see through the right wing agenda. I'll admit in its early days, I saw a right wing lean, but it was palitable. Then came Monica Lewinski...it was like a trap was sprung, Faux attacked, opening up their prime time to regergitating the most scurilous details and framing all Democrats as immoral and evil. They then did a number on Al Gore...from Alpha Male to Inventing the Internet to congenital "liar", Faux led the charge...their crowning glory, the Florida recount.

The network never really did well as a propaganda outlet for this regime. Yes, they bullied the other media into moving to the right and led the charge on any Democrat who dared to speak out, but the "new toy" feel had begun to wear. The downfall was helped along by Al Franken who not only unmasked the network's bias, but got them to go after him...the first of many stupid moves they've made that just proved how in the tank they were for the repugnican party.

The last two elections, they've been a non-factor. This year, they've been kinda fun to watch. They tried to slime Obama with the flags after the Denver convention. No go. They turn Sarah Barracuda into a superstar. No Sale. They rushed the B girl story out there even before a police report had been released. They weren't just in the tank, it seemed like they were "rouge" and running their own campaign.

Being on the outside won't hurt Faux. Their viewership, which has stagnated for years, doesn't care. They don't want to hear the truth...just to feel good, and Faux will deliver that. They've backbenched themselves as far as credibility with all but a few million dead-enders. Thus why call on them? They'll just keep making shit up anyway.
