Sarah Palin Defends Herself Against Criticism in FOX News Interview

"Your life is an open book and you open yourself up to criticism and you'd better be ready to take that criticism," Palin said. "In other words, don't run for office if you can't handle it." Palin, who could seek re-election in 2010 or potentially run for president in four years, said she will rely on faith.

"Putting my life in my creator's hands -- this is what I always do," she said. "I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door ... And if there is an open door in '12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plow through that door."

Palin's father, Chuck Heath, told the Associated Press that Palin spent part of the weekend going through her clothing to determine what belongs to the Republican Party.

"She was just frantically ... trying to sort stuff out," Heath told AP. "That's the problem, you know, the kids lose underwear, and everything has to be accounted for. Nothing goes right back to normal."

Sarah Palin... plowin' for the Lord.

I can kinda understand why the RNC had to buy Gov Palin some new duds -- marketing is a legitimate expense. But why were they fronting her for underwear? Her skirts were never that short!

27. There's a reason why Palin might lose her underwear while your kids haven't
They're not attending Republican fundraisers.

7. Hey Sarah, I pray to that same God and all I ask him is that he return you to private citizen status
Because the faith I believe in would not harm other people or slaughter innocent creatures nor destroy this earth. If God has any say in your future perhaps he should see to it that you're removed from office by 2010 - perhaps then you can take care of the 5 kids you have woefully neglected (Let's see Oldest has a criminal record and drug habit - had to enlist or serve in jail, 2nd oldest is a teenage statistic and the youngest desperately needs your attention if be make it with Downs Syndrome).

10. Her brand of Fundamentalism nurtures these kind of delusions.
EVERYTHING is GOD talking to you, arranging your life, making your opportunities.

You see, isn't it much more pleasing to say "God wants me to run for president, and he's opened these doors for me" than "I'm a remorseless egomaniac who thinks God is personally managing my life."

when talking about CariBoo Barbie that would be a rhetorical question.

18. She is trying to resurrect the Bull Moose party with the female equivalent.
It's about image or the lack of vocabulary or the ability to speak coherently. Plowing through also means that anyone or anything in her way will be mowed down as she comes through so step aside.

26. I honestly believe she left many enemies in her wake in Alaska and if the door
is even ajar (I'm doubtful) in 2012, she'll be hobbling through.

I think she'll be Impeached.

15. God HAS spoken....
Funny how the only time they say God speaks is when they get what they want...

God never helps the enemy. God is always on our side in wars, even the ones that are illegal, atrocity filled and needless. Sarah and George Bush are chosen. She pals around with God. God has a personal interest in Sarah Palin's career and will make sure to open that door for her. She knows that anything that thwarts her ambitions is not God's doing. Only stuff that rewards her ambition comes from God. But God will is always done. Except when it thwarts her will. God loves everyone but demands that true Christians smite people who stand in his way when he's trying to rewards them.

And the clincher. God can't do his own talking, nor enforce that his will be done. He needs Sarah Palin's help for that.

25. I've noticed that, too!
Yeah, they always have some excuse as to why God is on their side, don't they? They use the will of God to justify anything so as to get their own way.

And it's time the rest of us start calling their hand on this type of crappola.

17. That's Sarah -- most of us would open the door first, then just walk thorugh.
If it was the laundry-room door, maybe plowing through was when she lost some of that underwear. ;-)

Actually, though, shouldn't she be drilling through all those doors?

20. Didn't God get through to her this time?
Is she going to make him slam shut all the doors? He'd better put bars on the windows too.

Did you happen to hear her say in one of her interviews that she only brought an overnight bag with her when she came from Alaska? What did she think she was going to wear?

21. This woman will be a national joke in TWO years.
The GOPs establishment is already trying to reassert their dominance of the party, and they've got the media. Evangelicals are going to be put back in their little airtight boxes over the next few years, and Sarah Palin is going to be the most public example.
