Warning: PNAC Is Back! (Guess Who They Want To Help Them Regain Power?) & Bush Wants To Write A Book
Edited on Tue Nov-11-08 12:31 PM by ihavenobias
Thanks to Hissyspit for posting this explaining (hilariously IMO) that the Project for a New American Century is back.

This is the group of neocons that somehow hijacked the Republican Party (maybe hijacked is too kind a word, depends on your perspective) and convinced them to be extra crazy on foreign policy. You know, invading countries that didn't attack us, etc.

You'd think they'd have gotten the message by now that we collectively and generally don't WANT to keep invading these countries, but they haven't, and they're looking to make a comeback behind an "interesting" person.

PS---While a potential neocon comeback isn't good news, at least we can take comfort in the fact that . And if that doesn't cheer you up just consider that . What kind of book do you think it'll be?

BONUS Question: If you like Rachel Maddow, Michael Moore, John Cusack, Bernie Sanders, Jonathon Alter, David Sirota, Margaret Cho, Marcy Wheeler or Darcy Burner, why haven't you checked out the new show yet?

1. They never went away in the first place, did they???
The Conservatives have the Media doing their talking points.
"This was not about Conservatism" This was about an unpopular
President and a financial crisis. "This is not about Left V Right
It is about Right v Wrong." Guess who they think is wrong---you guessed
it --Democrats.

We had best keep an eye on the conservatives in our own party.

9. Lee Feinstein & Richard Holbrooke
Lee Feinstein & Richard Holbrooke
Clinton ties:

Lee Feinstein

"Hillary's foreign-policy coordinator, Lee Feinstein, a scholar at the Council on Foreign Relations, also says no threats are being made. Feinstein was brought on in August specifically to do "outreach"—to bring in foreign-policy experts to counter the Obama recruitment effort. And, he says, there is no cause for jealousy: Hillary has scores of former officials from her husband's administration advising her."
http://www.newsweek.com/id/40772

Richard Holbrooke

"The main Hillary enforcer has been Richard Holbrooke, Bill Clinton's former U.N. ambassador (and an aspiring secretary of State), says a senior adviser to Obama, who would also discuss personnel matters only anonymously."

(from the list in the last post...)

6. oh I am so happy to hear about Adelson (Venetian Casino) going bankrupt!
He funded the nastiest RW smear jobs and donated boatloads of cash to promote foreign wars.

He is subhuman, I hope he loses absolutely everything.

Maybe someone will buy his Vegas Venetian properties and then I can go back there.

They may try to make themselves politically relevant, but it will be to no avail. Repubs have been all but tossed out on their asses in the last 2 major elections. Unless we screw it up, the ball is in our court.

We may not have made 60 in the Senate, but there are other options. Isn't it ironic that George Bush and Dick Cheney worked for a Unitary Executive, only to hand the whole ball of wax over to the Democratic Party? That has got to just keep them up nights, to say the least.

See "Tony and Me" and "This is War" by Dr. Parsons. Two picture-books, supposedly containing Bush's descriptions of his life, triumphs and problems for his therapist, and written, spelled and illustrated in the style of a primary school child! Recommended!
