BOOGIE MAN: THE LEE ATWATER STORY--- SHOWING TONIGHT ON PBS FRONTLINE |
|
It's showing at 10PM my time. Check your TV Guide.
Do not miss this documentary if you have the chance to see it. It gives an important perspective on exactly how we got where we are.

2. I'd rather not relive those years by glorifying that jackass. |

He truly was a fucking jackass.
I do think it's important to understand history, though- and it's even more interesting to see now that Obama has won and this neocon garbage has been rejected.

4. BGL. I knew Lee. He was every bit as despicable as you |
|
think. He spawned Rove and the rest of this horrific mess. I hope he repented because otherwise, he's Satan's valet.
I'll never forget his comments about 'the governor in Arkansas that we need to keep an eye on'. A good, decent, Democrat who they decided to destroy prior to his even running for the nomination.
And if you think I'm exaggerating. Black. Manafort and Stone. Rick Davis.

7. When I heard he was dying, I actually smiled. |
|
He supposedly did a death-bed repentance but that doesn't work for me.
I think of him every time I see Red Hot and Blue, the chain of barbecue restaurants he started with some friends. They are still around.
I also hated his apparent love of blues, and hate of black people, as the man responsible for Willie Horton.
