Fundraising letter from Plouffe about DNC in debt. Can't Obama campaign cover this?

I'm confused. Are they legally precluded from helping? Also, can they use these funds to help in MN, GA, and AK as necessary?

Our friends at the Democratic National Committee laid it all on the line to bring change this year.

We've been reviewing the books, and the DNC went into considerable debt to secure victory for Barack and Joe. It took unprecedented resources to staff up all 50 states, train field organizers, and build the technology to reach as many swing voters as possible.

It worked.

But it also left the DNC in debt. So before we do anything else, we need to help pay for this winning strategy.

They took out substantial loans to make it happen. The DNC didn't hold back, and now, neither can we.

1. it seems like Dems INC is doing nothing to help in close-vote undecided elections either...

candidates in our 44th CA are still in a 1% race but DSCC or whatever it is called is offering NO help with the tally or supporting the candidate. seems like all the remaining dems in close races are trying to raise their own cash. Why are the wealthy dems candidates kicking in help or the national Dems organizations? hmm
