Piper Palin Wears High Heels On "Today" Show
Exactly one week after the election and her return to Alaska, 7-year-old Piper Palin was ready for her close-up on Tuesday's "Today" Show and wore the sassy outfit to prove it. As her mom made salmon and halibut casserole and talked to Matt Lauer, Piper shuffled around the kitchen wearing an "I Love New York" t-shirt and high heels (most likely her mother's) while holding baby brother Trig. See the video below.

1. I'm shocked SHOCKED a woman wears heels, especially in a profession...
where people value height so much.

Another post by another man who just doesn't get it.

Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 04:42 PM by OmmmSweetOmmm
It's up at Political Videos.

He asked her if she liked campaigning and she didn't like going to all of the rallies. She also missed her friends. He asked her about school, and she said it was hard being so far behind her class.

Then the kicker, he asked her is in 4 years, when she was 11 would she want to do it again, and she answered "I don't know". Her disgusting POS mother piped in calling her "Sister" asking her the same question and Piper only then said Yes.

Now WTF does Palin call this beautiful little girl Sister and not by her first name?

(((((((Piper))))))

But what I have a problem is with her wearing heels while carrying her baby brother around. Which reminds me of something else -- why doesn't Sarah herself ever hold her baby? It's always Willow or Piper holding poor Trig.

night she was "introduced" to the rest of us--at the rnc) and there were a few steps to get off the stage or go to a lower level--steps with no railing. and everyone walked down those steps and that little girl, piper, was holding the infant and she was left to walk down those steps carrying that baby with no assistance--i was holding my breath.

I don't understand this--she drags them along everywhere she goes, every interview there seems to be one or more kids (and her husband) around. Can Palin not do anything without her family around her?

Thank the gods they didn't win the election--it would have gotten crowded in the Oval Office on official visits with all those kids running around . . . .

PALIN: You mentioned education and I'm glad you did. I say, too, with education, America needs to be putting a lot more focus on that and our schools have got to be really ramped up in terms of the funding that they are deserving. Teachers needed to be paid more. I come from a house full of school teachers. We have got to increase the standards. No Child Left Behind was implemented. It's not doing the job though. We need flexibility in No Child Left Behind. We need to put more of an emphasis on the profession of teaching. My kids as public school participants right now, it's near and dear to my heart.

36. They make heels for little girls, sort of kitten heels.
Once of the children in our family wore a pair last Christmas. I don't know if it's a good idea for growing girls to wear them. Heels kind of thrust you in an unnatural posture. Those heels seem way to high though for such a young child.

38. She was playing dress up. It's harmless.
The day we start criticizing 7 year old kids for acting like kids is the day we quit being liberals

42. Why does Piper always carry the baby?
I wouldn't trust a 7-year old to carry a baby around for hours at a time. Especially in high heels.

Don't they have babysitters?

71. I saw an interview with them from Alaska tv, and Piper was schlepping the baby up & down the stairs.
It made me cringe.

she was that age. Begged to, in fact.

43. Aw, come on folks. Piper is just trying to help her Mom.
This was the ONE pair of shoes that Sarah didn't want to give back to the repukes. She figured she could hide them on Piper's little feet. I mean, who would look THERE? Democrats. That's who! LOL!

50. Ich......these "people" aren't NORMAL/GOOD......
they don't even know how to ACT "good". They are failures in every sense.

It is in THEIR 'best family interest' to FOCUS ON THEIR OWN FAMILY.

Piper, innocent/young as she is, is probably the only 'good' one in that family.....she's really a 'trooper'/pawn in that whole failed family.

56. No one is going to post a picture of Sasha in heels carrying around her 'brother'
or perhaps her 'nephew'....when none of the GROWN-UPS :eyes: show their love and respect to this little guy, Trig.

I'm happy that there is a family who will be in the White House who don't carry any such confusion/*controversy*.

Oh btw, there is something WAAAAAAAAAAAAY wrong with the Palin family. That's for sure!

63. The most interesting part was when...
...after talking about how hard it was catching up on her schoolwork after the campaign, Lauer asked Piper what she would think if her mother decided to run again in 2012. Piper shrugged and said, "I don't know."

Sarah then interjected and asked Piper, "You wouldn't like to do that again?" Piper looked at her mother and changed her answer to, "Yeah."

It's pretty transparent what went on there, the power dynamic at work and how Sarah prompted an answer from her daughter that would suit her needs.

This woman grows more despicable with every viewing of her. Yesterday, they showed her in that charade of making moose chili all while wearing a suit and loads of jewelry in the kitchen. She just kind of picked with a knife at the meat casings to look as if she were really doing something.

It's obvious she's trying to use the kitchen backdrop to touch on the diligent housewife role and not only appease hard right religious types but also to try and make average women relate to her.

Thing is, out the back window of the kitchen where this "everywoman" stood in her charade was a private plane parked lakeside behind their house. How many "hockey moms" or "Joe Six-packs" own a plane? Not many that I've met.

68. I'm, certainly, not a Palin fan, but that's not what I heard her ask Piper. Maybe there's a
transcription to clear it up. But Sarah seemed actually interested and concerned about Piper's reaction to this entire circus and any potential future circuses. The way she eyed Trig, though, seemed to indicate they've never bonded; it's good he has his sisters (or aunts?) around to show him some love.

70. Sarah literally said...
..."Would you want to do it again, sister?"

Been there, done that. I remember how my sister and I would sometimes give ambiguous answers to questions when we knew our honest reply wasn't what a parent wanted to hear. If that parent was right there and asked for clarification, we would often change that answer to what Mom or Dad wanted to hear in order to please the parent. I mean, they're right there looking at you, after all. Below a certain age, nothing means more to you than parental approval.

93. I am with you
those are her shoes, which negates the "so what/dress up" argument. They look proportional to the size of her body/feet. Which begs the question, what mother would purchase 3-4 in heels for their 7 year old daughter?
