5. Stephen Baldwin Promised to Move to Canada

Stephen Baldwin Promised to Move to Canada

Stephen Baldwin swore that if Barack Obama won the election, he would move to Canada. We offered it was because Baldwin thinks Canada is a refuge for anti-intellectual zealots...like he's confusing it with Alaska.

Anyway, there's nothing on Baldwin's site about him packing boxes or anything. Maybe he'll just ride out the next 70 or so days of the Bush administration before he heads north.

Because, gee, we'd hate to see such a talented actor and sincere Christian go back on his word and stay in the country. That would really be horrible.

Godspeed, Steve!

3. Move where? Out of the Baldwin brother compound?
Most of my knowledge about the Baldwins comes from the South Park movie. I only recently found out they're not all dead.

4. I don't know but I sent the following email to him.
Mr. Baldwin,

I am a Christian. Jesus Christ is my personal savior.

You vowed that you would leave the country if Obama won the election.

When are you leaving? I haven’t read any news or seen any TV reports saying you have left.

Christians don’t tell lies. If you do not leave the country, then you are a liar and therefore cannot be a Christian.

Are you making the choice any true Christian would make by standing by your word?

You made this promise in the sight of God. Because you are lying your name will not be in The Book of Life.

Doesn’t that trouble you? It would trouble a real Christian. It would not trouble someone that only speaks the name of Jesus

Christ and says they love him just to make money.

I hope you demonstrate your faith my keeping your word and leave the country.

I will pray you do the right thing by sacrificing to the Lord and leave the country as soon as possible.

:dem:

14. "then you are a liar and therefore cannot be a Christian." WOW, that's so not true.
Or, more accurately, a use of the No True Scotsman fallacy.

Yes Virginia, there CAN be christians who lie.

15. That's how you confuse a movie robot with logic.
A magic Christian like Baldwin can just declare a sign from God that told him to stay.

I'd have to say God has spoken, and he smited all the Republican Christians in one fell swoop. they should reconsider their tenets, and repent.

silly me. I see he was also in Casualties of War, which was a pretty good flick. His talent was well rewarded, as evidenced by his role: (uncredited) .... Soldier

13. He's not a Baldwin brother. He's unrelated.
I hate his politics... yet I love him on Firefly and Chuck.

ARG!

16. I'm confused by your comment, Zhade. I don't know if you're joking or not.
The OP is referring to Stephen Baldwin, brother to Alec, Daniel, and William Baldwin. He's really wacko.
The Baldwin you refer to on Firefly and Chuck is Adam Baldwin, who has also been on X-Files, and the film Full Metal Jacket, just to name a few.
