Sarah Palin - Won't go away, Does this mean more hate fests?
The far right, the worst elements of the Republican party have lost the election for the Republicans, and yet they seem to be putting their hopes into Sarah Palin as their next leader. These Wackos equate the embarrassing hate-fest rallies with what they call energizing the base! Have you noticed this? Have we forgotten already the shouts of "Kill Him!"?

I don't think the real intention is to have a new leader of the Republican party. No. Only the attendees of these pitchfork pandering lynch mob rallies would believe that Sarah Palin has the qualifications to lead the country. The hate mongers, the dangerous elements have found themselves a new cult leader.

I think the media needs to do an expose on the hate rallies with Sarah's part highlighted. Not just talk about how she is unqualified for national office. Of course she is not qualified! After the election this is Captain Obvious stuff. But is she qualified to lead a cult of dangerous hatred? Yes. And even though it doesn't win any elections for anyone, it still has the ability to incite violence against innocent people.

People may chuckle at Sarah's lack of knowledge, and stare open mouthed at the ignorance of many of her followers, but I don't laugh when I know there are nut-jobs out there just waiting for an excuse to do harm.

1. Lieberman was right behind her at the rallies, smiling.

2. So let her continue to "energize the base".

The crackpot base 25% will never have a clue of what's going on in the real world.

Keep them safely tucked away in their bunkers drooling all over themselves.

Meanwhile the rest of us will continue to go about our business and she will become a footnote in political history. Even ardent McCain supporters now know she dragged the party to defeat.

3. In 3 Years, We'll Really Be Laughing
We'll lamment over the trials and tribulations of Sarah Barracuda...the next installment of Palin Place.

Yep, the right wing is hitching their wagon to the "pitbull" and hoping she can mush them to the promise land. Problem is, as the voters said last week, that promised land is mush as well. The right has little to take away from this election. They lost the Executive and seats in both houses. They're on a major two year losing streak that took them from nearly having veto-proof houses to becoming an irrelevant, regional party. And, those who need to learn the lessons now are the ones who are trying to live in their parallel universe.

Here's Sarah's problem...first, there's an election in 2010. If she choses to take Stevens senate seat, she'll be backbenched over the next couple years (as Senators usually are) and I see this especially the case in the "boys club" that is the Senate and especially among the GOOP caucus where she's sure to rub nerves raw. If she stays in Alaska, she becomes the target of a high profile challenge in 2010 that could easily rehash all the crap from this election and get a lot of national attention. Unless the Barracuda wins by a large margin, the qusetions will start to nag.

But that's too far down the road...right now, this is a big right wing wet dream. The fun is the more Palin yaks, the more it reassures those who voted against her that they made the right choice. When that happens, you're politically dead...Quayled!

4. I would love to see just one interviewer ask her
how, as a self-proclaimed "Christian," can she justify the hate and lies she spewed during the campaign.

5. She is not the only one
I would like to see that question asked of anyone who supports her.
