Dear Sen ____________________, I wanted to get in touch today
to help you get in touch with the real world.

In spite of the massive victory we just gave the Democratic party in so many area that you've never won before - you guys appear to be still playing by the same old rules - you aren't getting how this whole "change" thing is supposed to work.

Pay attention now, this is important - in fact, this is how you raise you're paltry 11% approval rating out of the gutter and get it back into the level of prestige your office used to carry.

Next week, when you have an opportunity to vote one whether Joe Lieberman remains in the caucus - there's only one choice that doesn't leave you looking spineless, ineffectual and more beholden to the "inside the beltway - screw the voters" type of mentality that we, the Voters, just left resoundingly in the dustbin of history.

It's very simple - you vote NO - NO to the man who stabbed us all in the back on the campaign trail with Senator McCain - NO to the man who is almost a FAUX news fixture while trashing the very caucus he claims he wants to be a member - NO to the man who slaps you around then waits for you to beg him back, like a battered wife who can't let go.

This is your intervention - it's time to get with the new program and start acting like one of the 538 most powerful people in Washington. For now at least, until we decide to sweep you from power and replace you with a real Democrat if you can't start acting like one.

Sincerely,

(feel free to steal, substituting President-Elect and Vice President-Elect as needed along with the appropriate Senator's names)

2. You left out an important part
You didn't mention how this same man, when rejected by the democratic voters in CT two years ago, launched an "independent" campaign and defeated the democratic voters choice for that Senate seat with the aid of the Republican leaders in CT. It's not about the will of the voters but rather about Lieberman himself.

Anyone that is that erratic and self centered should not be included in our caucus.
