Wonkette: Alaska Figures Out Why Every Election Outcome Was Horribly Confusing
Remember how convicted criminal-senator Ted Stevens of Alaska finagled his way into an election night lead despite every poll showing him down by 4,750%, due to those seven (7) crimes? Well the Alaska elections board has found a few hidden ballots that might change the score. But not many ballots, just THIRTY PERCENT OF THEM. You know, thirty percent, as in “one-third.” Countin’ starts tomorrow at high noon or some other time of the day.

Sarah recently said in an interview that after her run for Vice President that people were thinking great things about Alaskans- Can you say delusional? (just read the comments-I am so embarrassed)

3. OK - I've laid off the caffeine today. Does this mean AK could go blue?
Or is this just 30% of the votes for Senate?

7. No, it's 30% of ALL the ballots.
Here's the report from this morning's Anchorage Daily News...http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/story/586095.html

6. What A Misleading Article. They Didn't Just All Of A Sudden Find 90,000 Ballots.
Complete fabrication.

There are still 90,000 ballots to be counted, the mass majority of which never went anywhere to begin with, they just had to have the time to count them. I believe it starts today.

But it is completely irresponsible and horribly bad reporting to say that 30% of the votes were just suddenly found. Makes the author look like an idiot.

8. I agree with you somewhat on this,

although there have been some anomalies which are being watched closely. The issue seems to be that all the votes for the state are ultimately counted in Anchorage where the central tabulator is, and it takes a while to get all the ballots in from the Bush. Some of those communities don't have daily flights out, plus weather could be a factor. With no roads in most of the state, but many isolated villages, we do have to overcome some problems that other states don't have to contend with.
