Bailouts and handouts...... Where do you stop?

I feel less and less hopeful that the $700billion dollar bailout is going to be anything other than a chaotic giveaway to the worst of the banking and finance industry. I think I would rather see the federal government go into for profit banking for themselves(ourselves?) than head in the direction that i fear this is headed. I am more open to helping a major manufacturing industry like the US auto makers altho that needs to be in loan structure that requires them to make some moves to fix the problems and not just burn thru the money.

There could have been some positive economic feedback to this Social Handout. Greed and misguided self-interest have turned it into Iraq Invasion Part II.
