There have been just too many questions about the results here -- plus the fact that we know that in 2004 the tabulator was tampered with post-election.

This comment by Phil Munger, a Democratic party officer (and blogger) in the Valley to his blog post here http://progressivealaska.blogspot.com/2008/11/number-of-uncounted-votes-in-alaska.html leads me to believe that this is being very closely watched.

"Trust me, folks, a lot of professional people are working on this right now, from within the Democratic Party, both in Alaska and from Outside. I can't say more, but I agree it may require a closer look by law enforcement if some anomalies don't clear up during Wednesday's count. I'll be there."
