I asked my friend, did his CPA mean he thought Obama would restrict gun control to the point of not being able to buy weapons? (you know...that silly FReep meme being spouted as a "truth")

My friend said no. His CPA stated he's committed with a group, and he signed on for six months to buy a hand gun a month (once per month as there is the 30-day waiting period), and that others signed on for more months, with the upshot (pardon my pun) being that after Obama takes office, there is an underground group movement that is planning on a revolution and taking back our nation.

Meanwhile, once I find out the name of this guy, am thinking I should report it. That CPA said something about taking it to the streets of DC.

A friend of mine who lives out in "the country", you know the REAL AMERICA, was telling me on Monday that all of her friends and neighbors are buying guns and ammo at an unbelievable clip (pun intended). The reason for this run on guns: you guessed it Obama is going to outlaw guns.

When she told me that, I thought to myself "this is the same old lame shit the NRA used against Gore and Kerry, and Clinton for that matter." Then when I gave it some serious thought I remembered the story about Congressman Broun from Georgia who said, just the other day, that Obama is going to use his powers as President to build a secret police force that is going to confiscate all the guns and imprison political enemies just like the Nazis and Commies did. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a United States Congressman speaking of President Obama's desire to have a national police force to control America.

Folks, this is no bullshit. You can make fun of the ignorant freepers and Palin-lovin rednecks all you want, but I'm here to tell you that these fuckers are seriously twisted and THEY BELIEVE THIS SHIT.

Why would someone buy a gun a month? If we're talking pistols that's an easy one to answer. Small enough to carry concealed. You can carry several--I have known law enforcement types who carried two and sometimes three, plus whatever they have under the seat of the car or in the glove compartment. And sometimes that was when they were off duty. These are people who felt that their lives depended on carrying FIREPOWER. And they were probably right.

As far as the reich wingers buying pistolas, they are easy to handle and your wife, daughter, son or whoever can use one. And you can have some in reserve if you or friends need them. Remember that these people think that our government is going to actually go out and start going house-to-house, searching and confiscating guns. They really do believe this. Also, you buy three guns and hide two. The Obama police confiscate your one gun and you still have two. Duh.

And since our President-elect (and theirs) is a muslim, Manchurian candidate, terrorist-palling-around-with-kind-of-a-guy, they are all in a lather about taking back their country.

This "threat" or rumor or lie or propaganda or whatever you want to call it is being pushed by the reich-wing media nuts as a way of stirring up the "true patriots" like the ones who were yelling "Kill Him" at Palin-McCain rallies.

I hate to break the news to all of you bleeding heart, peace loving, non-violent liberals, but these rabid, reich-wing, fascist motherfuckers will kill you in a heartbeat if they think they are doing it for God or country. This is a tough call for me, because the idea of looking into someoe's pattern of gun purchases without a warrant is a bit disturbing to me (so I'm betting they could get a warrant - you have enough for probable cause, I think, though I am no laywer or LEO, so you might want to check) except for the criminal conspiratorial nature of the movement is what is being investigated here, and notthe gun purchases themselves are nott he probable cause...they are ancillary.
