Newsweek's Howard Fineman on Keith Olbermann: Obama's going to leave it up to a vote I think. What my sources tell me is that there's likely to be a vote next Tuesday. The Senate Democrats will caucus when they come back for the lame duck session. They'll all go into a room, Joe Lieberman will make his case for maintaining his chairmanship of the Homeland Security Committee, then there will be a secret ballot vote.

I told them to vote NO on Lieberman keeping his chairmanship.

The Senate Switchboard: (202) 224-3121. A switchboard operator will connect you directly with the Senate office you request.

1. I will call my two Senators
So the vote will be closed/private? I know both my Senators don't like Lieberman.
I believe Senator Durbin has publicly said he should have to step down from the chairmanship.
Will Obama be voting? I guess he would be.
If we get the three last senate seats that are undecided then we would be at 59 and Asshole Joe would once again be in the catbird seat.
God I hate him!

I think though that Saxby will pull it out though. As much as that pains me. Without Obama on the ticket...the turnout will be different.

So kick Joe out!!!!!!

3. It will be interesting to see
what Connecticut does. I would think internal polling should convince Lieberman not to run again. But he's got a major ego. Surely Connecticut has had enough of Joe , right?

6. Lieberman defended Coleman in the Frankin/Coleman Senate Race
Last month, Joe Lieberman was aggressively undermining the Democrat's campaign against Norm Coleman. That race is set for a recount and Joe's pals in the GOP are doing everything they can to create controversy.

But, this piece in The Hill
http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/lieberman-going-to-... about Lieberman's political treachery was written just one month ago. It seemed to capture the prevailing wisdom back then. Yet, somehow, McCain surrogate Joe Lieberman has wormed his way back into the good graces of some of his Senate colleagues. One month ago, Lieberman was undermining one of the top Democratic prospects:

In his latest break from the Democratic Party, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) is defending Republican Sen. Norm Coleman (Minn.) from Democratic attacks in one of the nation's closest Senate races.

Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee who caucuses with Democrats and gives them their two-seat Senate majority, disputes partisan attacks that Coleman conducted inadequate oversight of the Iraq war as the top Republican on the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI).

"Any suggestion Sen. Coleman stymied Democrats' investigations into Iraq-related matters is unfair and unfounded," Lieberman wrote this weekend in an op-ed in the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The truth is that Lieberman never conducted investigations into Iraq-related matters in the first place. See, Lieberman is not only a political dirt-bag, he's an ineffective Senator and terrible chair of an important committee. For the past two years, it was Lieberman who stymied investigations.

11. If you figure it out, let me know..
Reagan
Deukmejian
Wilson
Schwarzenegger

and Massachusetts & NY do the same...

I guess people don't really care about who's the governor, until he/she gets to appoint a senator...and then they choose a republican to rep[lace a dem..

12. voting irregularities, diebold....
I don't believe we elected our Republican governor 6 years ago. Since then, I think he's been riding the incumbent free-ride. he's just a smooth talker.
