1. You Mean Joe the Lying Plumber, Right?
What would he possibly be qualified to do with a lobbying firm? At least the lobbying firms hire college grads. Educated, not necessarily smart, but at least educated.

Who would hire this troglodyte?

Wait, i know. Bill Kristol.

3. Oh! THAT Joe Scum!
Well, him, he's lobbyist material. He just oozes duplicity. Yeah, you're right. He'll be working for a lobbying firm, and somehow MSNBC will see it as ok to let him keep his show, too.

5. The other day he mentioned being asked to run for senate in 2006.
Too bad he declined, we could have retired him with Santorum to the douche-bag hall of fame a little sooner.

6. We need to find out who hired him in Washington
Edited on Thu Nov-13-08 07:01 AM by malaise
I'm guessing that it's either a GEM$NBC promotion or a lobby firm.

Meanwhile now that he's turned against Bush over Iraq we should send him his precious views from 2004.
The Real News Out of Iraq by Joe Scum
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6667506/
<snip>
Did you know that the overwhelming number of Shiites and Kurds support America's efforts to bring Democracy to Iraq in the form of elections this month?Did you know that Shiites make up 60% of Iraq?Did you know that Kurds make up 20% of Iraq?Did you know that the Sunnis, who have been dictators over Iraq, only make up 20% of the population — and many of them support the vote in January?Did you know that the overwhelming majority of Iraqis support the US-backed elections in January?Did you know that the most powerful Shiite leaders in Iraq are telling their followers that participating in the American-led elections is a religious duty on par with fasting?Did you know that the Kurds in the north fought alongside, and often in front of US troops?Did you know that the overwhelming majority of soldiers and marines fighting in Iraq support the President's handling of the war?Did you know that the overwhelming majority of troops in Iraq believe this war is a noble cause? You don't know any of these facts if you get your information from the mainstream press. For whatever reason, these powerful media outlets spend a disproportionate amount of time reporting on the treachery of terrorists instead of the work of those building the first democratic Arab state in Middle East history.
------------------
Did you know that Joe Scum doesn't remember what he wrote or said back in 2004 and that he does not know about spacing and the end of a sentence?

add.

7. He's been doing the show from DC more frequently of late
I wonder if he's going to be based in DC full time - maybe a new time slot...

I wonder if a Dem in the WH, and pukes in minority position, means they are going to use him in a different capacity (and full time presence in DC will be a plus?).

Don't know. Just guessing.

12. I was wondering if MSNBC assigned him to the Washington desk...
and if that's the reason the family moved there.

I remember he was complaining about his ARM/mortgage on his Fla. house (to Suze Orman) several months ago.

11. If thats true, I believe it would represent a " conflict of interest " that would require him to
disclose each day that he's a " paid lobbyist " for company xxxxx representing the interests of xxxxxx. There is a strong possibility that ' national commercial accounts ' who advertise on MSNBC's Joe & Friends could find his new found position problematic and conflicting with their brands or products since they're running tv commercials ads in his program's time slot.
