The 50% of the GOOPers you're hearing from are the most vocal...the Rushbos and other Palinistas who don't want her to go away. She's all they've got. If she vanishes so do they. She's their consolation toy...one of the few lights in a very dark forrest that just got even darker. If her light fades, they're completely left in the dark. But they're also the most dangerous...still like very caged animals. They're in total denial and think they can wish the country back to the 50's or the "days of Raygun" or 8 years ago. She's speaking code to them and they just can't let go.

Then there's the other 50%...those who see this grifter as both an embarassment and a threat, but they don't know which one is of more concern. They know she's toxic to the long term health of the party and is a threat to their own power and money bases. The wing of the party that always took the fundies for granted see her as a threat and they're hoping she's marginalizing herself.
