You Really Can't Trust the MSM....
I mean...I just heard one of the television networks, covering that Republican governors thing, say that the Republicans had gained in state governorships (I'm pretty sure it was plural) in this recent election. In reality, the tally went from 28 Dems and 22 Reps to 29/21.

Is it mostly just laziness...a lack of journalistic responsibility...or something more sinister? Now perhaps more than ever, you really do have to think for yourself, and check things out for yourself.

2. All of the above.
Is it mostly just laziness...lack of journalistic responsibility... or something more sinister?

And lean more toward, something more sinister, since the media is corporate owned and GOP controlled. Do I need one of these? :tinfoilhat:

3. Corporate Is What Corporate Does...
The mainstream voted last week...and rejected a lot of the memes and framing of the corporate media. But that doesn't matter. The cables live in their own self-important worlds where personality and flash always trumps substance and endless conflict is their lifeblood. It's building up to take down to build up again.

Of course the corporate media is lazy...it's laden with pundits and spinners, not journalists. You don't see newscasts but personalities...news as a reality show. Covering something like what's really going on in Iraq or why the economy went to shits are stories that take time, money and are "loss leaders"...it's far easier to do "news" that you can manipulate and is fed to you.

Thank goodness for the blogs and here's my wish that the next netroots movement is creating a new and better media...including using our talents and resources in the new mediums that are developing. What the blogs did to keep print honest, I see internet radio doing for hate radio.

Cheers...

4. You'd be better of plopping a "For Entertainment Purposes Only" sign across all mainstream media
True journalism that sought Truth, Integrity and Justice died long ago

5. Understatement of the year. LOL.
I wish I was joking. I am not. Our M$M has become a global laughingstock and embarassment.
