HOLY CRAP, Mike Huckabee really WAS an honorable Republican!

Read this:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,449425,00.html

It's no secret that I personally supported John McCain for president. I agreed with him on core issues and he and I are in the same party, but I also truly believe he's an extraordinary and honorable American hero. I campaigned hard for him — to the point of losing my voice in fact. But Americans elected Barack Obama and it's time to put the election behind us and the country in front of us.

Barack Obama wasn't my choice, but come January 20, he will be my president. I will pray for him and his family. I want him to be successful in leading our country. I will not seek to see all of his faults and none of his qualities.

Some of President Bush's harsh critics went beyond loyal opposition and engaged in angry, vile and mean-spirited hate.

Those of us who found that kind of attitude and behavior despicable can hardly engage in similar conduct toward a President Obama.

This one's for you, Mike Huckabee. One of the VERY VERY FEW decent and honorable people left in the open sewer of corruption and ignorance that is the Modern Republic Party.

This one's for you, honorable Mike Huckabee, from one Fellow American to Another:

(Freepers, Hannidiots and Savage Weiners avert your eyes...to watch two Americans proudly agree to disagree but loving their country more might burn your eyes to look)

4. I know. What I can't believe is that the Hannidiots and Savage Weiners haven't tossed him out of
their small-circle jerk of morans. (sic)

Probably only a matter of time until they toss him out for heresy.

Hey Mike! You can join us Democrats if you want! We might not agree with you, be we will always listen to you when you speak your views reasonably.

3. Well, Mike
If Obama starts a war based on lies, tortures people, spies on Americans, steal billions from the economy, kills hundreds of thousands or people -- feel free to be angry with him, because I know I will.

Mike Fuck-a-Bee is an asshole if he doesn't know why people said such nasty things about Bush.

7. "Mike Fuck-a-Bee is an asshole if....
...he doesn't know why people said such nasty things about Bush."

That's actually the thing that most struck me about he piece. If he had mentioned the nastiness directed at Bill Clinton as well then I might be a little less weary of this article. It just kinda strikes me a bit like a Republican trying to sound as though he's taking the high road while taking a swipe at the left. I hope he's sincere but I have my doubts.

26. My bullshit radar is on full alert whenever Huckabee is talking
It doesn't seem much like a geniune thing when he is complaining that people were critical about Bush starting that war thing. You know, the faulty intelligence thing that led to thousand of innocent dead people.

Gee, go figure that someone might actually be critical about that, Mikey.

5. yeah, we'll see....
Look how Palin's turned around 180 degrees from calling Obama a friend of terrorists. And Mchelle Bachman. All the crazies fall in line now. That's the conservative mindset. Instinctive kowtowing to authority. Until that authority crosses their ideological thresholds. Then it's back to rabid, snarling attack beasts again.

Mark my words, friends.

Edited on Thu Nov-13-08 10:42 AM by tom_paine
Is he a Republic? Sure.

Is he a vile, loathesome, criminal Bushie? Looks like not.

But you are right, maybe he'll flip later on and join the rest of the Winged Monkey Brigade.

But that's later, this is now.

25. Maybe not a Bushie, but he proudly bears the Fundy Banner struck from Sarah Palin's grip.
He's running for Prez in 2012 -- I heard on Iowa Public Radio he's already scheduling public appearances here, and an Iowa friend told me she saw a "Huckabee 2012" yard sign already -- so he will say what he has to say to try to make us forget he's a batshit fundy.

21. You better believe it
Or does Huckabee think war crimes, crimes against humanity and shredding the constitution are to be greeted with flowers and candy? Angry? You betcha. Vile? I am indeed vile against the very notion of torture; its practice spins me into a whole new universe of vile where mean-spirited hate is a virtue.

I grew up in Baptist church (it's okay, i made it out alive...) and he just reminds me of a youth pastor I might have. like the "cool" youth pastor, and you'd call him Pastor Mike, and he'd whip out his guitar and say things like "let's rock out for Jesus!" :headbang: ya know? like, he seems like he actually means well, just terribly misguided. :P

19. Hey, I didn't say we wuz' pickin' out curtains together.
He said a stupid thing. Maybe it WAS calculated and vile, though it could just have easily been not. Because, unlike McPalin, he didn't do it again and again and AGAIN.

Does that mean I now trust him completely? LOL. No, what it means is that he satnds out quite honorably, next to the contemptible sewer the Modern Repubic Party has become.

For a republican, he was like a breath of fresh air. No screaming. No hollering. No ridiculous charges. No attacks. I couldn't believe it.

I can't believe that his show will last very long on Faux.

24. Talk Is Cheap.
I call this trying to ride the wave of enthusiasm much of the country feels about the election of Obama, and trying to appear moderate.

As long Huckabee hides behind his bible while promoting hate against Americans, I'll never consider him honorable.

it.

If he throws off the mask and starts behaving like a Savage Weiner or Hannidiot, then obviously I will have to adjust my views accordingly.

hit by a tornado because he objected to the insurers use of the phrase "act of god". He held up the aid for weeks.

36. Believe it or not, I actually learned something from Schmuckabee's campaign
to wit, that our current employer-based health care system is a relic of an effort to dodge World War II-era wage and price controls. Benefits, you see, aren't considered wages and so weren't subject to the controls. Thus, they became a backdoor way to offer higher pay without running afoul of the controls.

It is precisely because Schmuckabee has that little something on the ball that he scares me far more than Bible Spice. :scared:
