She was the bottom half of the decisively defeated ticket... |
|
...yet over a week after the election Sarah Palin is more in the news than John McCain, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama combined.
Who was supposed to be the celebrity candidate, again?

1. The media loves the oddball |
|
That's why at the Gay Pride march, they ignore the normal looking people and turn their cameras on the drag queen.
If there are 10,000 people at a demonstration, behaving peacefully, they will take pictures of the one nut and run that as if it's what the march was about.

2. The BS meme now is that if not for Palin McCain would have been beaten worse |
|
Actually she was the best thing to ever happen to the Obama campaign.

4. And by the same token, she never would have been possible if not for... |

...the news culture spawned of bs memes. They feed off and perpetuate each other. So, yes, her and people like her aren't going anywhere for a while.

5. She started off with a high approval rating and dropped like a stone |

Her downward curve in the polls looked like the Alps.

7. Her high approval rating was an illusion from the start |

She was just a shiny new object, a lump of shit with earrings would have gotten McCain a bump.
Edit to add: Which is pretty much what she turned out to be lol.

8. Yep, a nice 65%-35% Win would look nice for President Obama's second term. |

9. I doubt she will be... |
|
...she seems like more a hare than a tortoise. No staying power.
Can a person like this really be bothered to forge herself into a knowledgeable and disciplined presidential candidate through working and educating herself in relative obscurity for the next three or four years? She seems more like the spotlight loving reality show contestant to me. That can last a while, but not four years.
