Stevens Falls Further Behind
http://www.adn.com/elections/story/586989.html

Mark Begich made a dramatic comeback Wednesday to overtake Ted Stevens for the lead in Alaska's U.S. Senate race.

Begich, who was losing after election night, now leads Stevens by 814 votes -- 132,196 to 131,382 -- with the state still to count roughly 35,000 more ballots over the next week.

The state Division of Elections tallied some 60,000 absentee, early and questioned ballots on Wednesday. The ballots broke heavily in the Democrat's favor, erasing the 3,000-vote lead Stevens held after election night Nov. 4.

Stevens, a 40-year incumbent, is trying to become the first person ever elected to the U.S. Senate after a being found guilty of felony crimes

1. Wow! Great news...Palin may just sink into obscurity.
The Senate seat was the perfect platform for her to continue to get publicity over the next 4 years but, hopefully, Begich will be the new Senator and Palin will be lost in Alaska.

4. Alaska,Georgia & Minesota may be our December suprise...
IF we have all 60 seats at the end of this recount..will it matter who Lieberman votes with?
Could he do any real damage?
I can see if we got less than 60 he could be a pain in the ass, but with 60, is he any real threat as to filibustering?

I'm tasting 60.

7. The 60 seats would be the Democratic caucus including Lieberman,
so yes, it matters. One strategy, which I think would be good, would be to keep Lieberman in, but if he then betrays us on a critical vote, kick him out.

5. Give her an anchor spot on Faux.
She'll be thrilled to be 'a media star' (every pageant girl wants to be in front of a camera) and she'll fit right in with the other brainless morans.

6. Yeah...No Surprise Really...
It's not too easy to rig absentee ballots...I had a feeling when they were counted, the vote would swing towards Begich...What with Alaska having a 14% drop in their election counts, something was WAY fishy...I'm glad the absentee votes are swinging the vote into the right direction...
