(AP) ROME: BRUTUS FORGIVEN BY SENATE
Edited on Thu Nov-13-08 12:54 PM by itsrobert
MARCH 16, 44 B.C.

The Senate has forgiven Marcus Junius Brutus (I) for his betrayal of the country and his part in the assassination of Caesar. The Senate leader said we need him on our side as he brings leadership and expertise to the Senate sub-committees. Messenger dispatches from the outraged public were met with deaf ears as the senate reconfirms Brutus as a proven leader in the global war on terror currently being fought in Southwest Asia.

7. I was just gonna write something to this effect. Brutus didn't buy it until...
Octavian took over. And he, of course, held a dimmer view of his great-uncle's murderers than the senators did. But for a few years after the assassination, Brutus got along just fine.

8. Since Complicity With Caligula/Tiberius Is Ongoing ...
... giving Brutus a pass isn't even a high misdemeanor.

Impeachment remains our ONLY moral, patriotic option.

Your tears are wasted on that bastard. He didn't even invent the salad that bears his name.
