"issue of the day" trumps her bullshit.
We are in a slow news cycle now, that's why her blathering is taking up so much of the news attention.
Obama is not president yet and is still picking his cabinet, moron* is still a moron* and no one is really paying him* any attention, the economy is in the toilet (so what else is new), the war is still happening, but hardly anything is being reported about it, so aside from the various general inanities coming out of the usual suspects, not much is going on out there now that the election is over. As a result, we are being treated to all things failin 24/7.
However, the problem with one trick ponies, such as failin, is much like a bad blog, unless you have fresh new content, no one wants to hear from you. but blather on they will.
There are many one trick ponies that have made a career out of just that and did so because although only known for one thing, they were smart enough to capitalize on that and have done very well.
She happily hasn't figured that out yet. failin on the other hand, believes she is still timely and current. And that her daily witticism are worthy of airtime and print. One can only recycle moran insight so long before the next news cycle starts.
What we are seeing is the last embers of a dying flame trying to be kept alive by sucking all the air out of the room.
When the next big thing hits, which it will, she will vanish into one or two regions. Either she will be banished by the news, who will have finally grown tired of her rambling insanity (she's fun to listen to in that 12th grade jock that can't pronounce all the words on his final essay, that he copied straight from the encyclopedia, and now has to recite in front of the class), and crawl back to Alaska or more than likely, become a "commenter" to delight us all with her "folksy" wit on faux news. However, I don't think they will stoop even that low, but then again, they have proven us all wrong time and time again by how low they can go.
Keep her talking. When she drifts into opinion on nonsensical topics, as she soon will, she will be, in effect, done.
