Freepers hate Katie Couric/love Sarah palin
Edited on Thu Nov-13-08 02:02 PM by galaxy21
Angered by Katie Couric's recent advice for Sarah Palin ("she should keep her head down, work really hard and learn about governing") Free republic reacted with predictable scorn, and also took some extra time for Palin worship!

"Katie is dumb as a rock, she needs advice not Sarah."

"I think Sarah should interview Miss Katie on National television. Would love to see that one. Then we could see who should be putting their head down and learning a thing or two." (Yeah, Cause the last Palin/Couric meeting worked out so well for Palin...)

"Just watched Sarah too. Incredible person. The women has so much common sense. She has a way of just breaking through all the muck of politics and the economy and making it simple to understand. Most politicians and econimists purposely make issues seem more complicated than it actually is just so they can hide their hidden agendas."

"Sarah won our hearts starting with her acceptance speech, and we remain faithful to her throughout the churlish nonsense the MSM and dumbs have thrown at her."

"Sarah was the light...but everyone loved the darkness"

"Sarah Palin is one of the best things to happen to this country."

"I trust JESUS, Rush, Sarah and FR. All others are suspect"

"I remain so hopelessly in love...."

"Sarah is a force of nature and a blessing from God Almighty upon this nation"

"I'm just sick that she won't be the next vp. Sick sick sick"

"Sarah Palin is our best chance in 2012. Her charisma. She already has 46% of the country, now she needs to bring over the other 4 or 5%/"

"Is it wrong that I adore another woman so much????"

" I don’t know about you, HollyB, but Sarah boosted my “morale”. :-)"

"Being a governor is far better prep for a President than being a senator or anything else. I get scared when people advise Sarah Palin to run for the Senate, the Senate is a hellhole where hack politicians go to die. She’s too smart for that anyway."

"The Senate is a snake pit unworthy of her"

And finally,
"She’s DUMB! Haven’t you figured that out yet? America needs a President who is educated, brilliant and capable. She’s none of these things. Those who promote her as a candidate in 2012 risk sending the Party into the hinterlands"

I think its hypocritical that they blasted Obama fans as a celebrity obsessed cult
and now look at the way they adore and worship her every move.

14. When I saw Rush the first thing I thought was "why would they list the band Rush with the others?"
Then it came to me that they meant the ass-pimpled, draft-dodging, drug abusing sex fiend.

9. presumably that last person was summarily stoned to death for heresy
I still don't think the Palin/Huckabee-faction will ever support a mormon. They could split their faction though, allowing Romney to win the nomination, which would make for a very discouraged base. Making Huckabee VP probably would not be enough to energize them. Maybe hatred of Obama/Pelosi will do that anyway, but it depends on the economy/gas prices in 2012. Also the world situation with Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

10. How many of those 46% are Dems looking for an easy beat?
If a pollster asked whether I thought Palin should be the GOP candidate in 2012, I'd definitely say yes. She can't possibly win, the Morans aren't enough by themselves.

16. Where do they get the 46%?
Is that what McCain ulimately pulled in the popular vote?

If so, what makes them think that Palin is going to hold that full 46% if she's at the top of the ticket?

I imagine that there are some McCain supporters that were taking a chance that their man would live through 2012 that would never vote for Palin if she were top of the ticket.

19. People vote for the president, not the vice president
I do think a lot of people who voted for that ticket, didn't like Obama and just hoped McCain would make it through his first term.

24. the 46%....
is the rigged number. Obama won by at least ten points, imho. It's also time to get rid of the electoral college.

There's a lot of voter suppression going on.
