caribou barbie and celebrity status-- the reichwingnuts had it completely backwards.
it wasn't president-elect obama who was according celebrity status along the lines of paris hilton, britney spears, etc., but rather, the intense coverage of the gop's most expensive barbie doll.

will somebody PLEASE tell governor grifter and the media that her 15 minutes are UP already!!

2. Her comments at the GOP Governors convention have been hysterical
I hope she stays in the news a long time. She's funny and provides endless comedy gold. Today she told the GOP Governors convention that they should be a "check" on the left wing government since we now control all three sections of government. As if a collection of red-state govs are going to push policy.

4. I have a modest suggestion.
Perhaps the Red State governors should get back to their states and GOVERN -- enough with the boondoggles, already. I can't believe the State of Alaska is still paying Sarah's salary through all this. I wonder if she's getting a per diem and travel expenses for her family.

I'm just sick to death of her.

7. I wondered about that per diem throughout the election cycle. after all, she did bill the taxpayers
for 300 days she was at home, so I guess it wouldn't bother her to bill them when she was away, doing nothing for the citizens of your beautiful state (unless you all consider her being away a good thing???)

8. Check this out.

This one REALLY infuriates me. From what I understand Kris Perry was basically acting as Sarah's nanny out there -- at $1,000 a day!

Granted, Alaskans don't pay state income tax, but every state dollar that Palin spends on her own self-promotion and ambition is one less dollar we have available to spend on the common good. And, believe me, Alaska has some problems that could use some funding.

9. Bah, who wants to govern when you can go on a taypayer funded junket to Miami?
Sign me up for that.

I think you're looking at Sarah all wrong. It's comedy, not tragedy. I do feel bad for the people of Alaska but hey, they voted for her.

Like I said, she is death for the GOP, the longer she's in the spotlight saying stupid things, the better.

11. We didn't vote for THIS Sarah Palin, believe me.
Well, I didn't vote for her at all, but I know people who did. She was really nothing like this when running her campaign for governor in 2006.

Here's a relevant letter to the editor from this morning's newspaper.

I used to like and respect Sarah. Not any more.

It's not Troopergate. If her family was threatened, I admire her for trying to protect them. And I don't care how many clothes the McCain campaign gave her.

My disillusionment began while watching the Republican convention, when she mocked Obama and the crowd jeered.

It grew as she incited lynch mob mentality across the nation.

Yes, governor, the media did take some cheap shots at you. But Obama never did.

Yet you repeatedly attacked his character. You called him a socialist and insinuated terrorist connections.

You said scornfully that you didn't need to listen to a "Chicago politician," insinuating corruption. You referred to his associates as "cronies."

Now you say politics is rough and tumble, that we should "get over it." I guess rough and tumble is synonymous with fighting dirty.

I used to love you because I thought you were above politics as usual.

I loved it during the gubernatorial debates when you told your arguing opponents that Alaskans deserved better.

This time around, America deserved better.

So now Rush Limbaugh loves you. One of the most hateful, bigoted hypocrites in America, who just called our new president a "Chicago thug."

I thought you were better. Apparently I was wrong. You tell me to get over it? I think I'm over you.

5. I cannot stand even looking at her, much less listening to her babble. even david shuster
(whom I still have not forgiven for his comment about chelsea clinton) made a remark about how completely clueless she sounded talking to leslie blitzer about the bailout.

6. I can't wait for stevens to lose so we don't have to see
her gross stupidity on the TV any more. Just about every channel has something about her.

I guess they are trying to keep her in the spotlight just in case stevens wins.

10. Dave, did you see my post from Andrew Halcro's blog
about interim appointments? http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=4455528&mesg_id=4455528 It seems, according to the Alaska Supreme Court, that Sarah couldn't even appoint herself as an INTERIM senator should Stevens win (which seems pretty unlikely at this point).

I'm just totally sick of her.
