It's a new day for American workers. With Barack Obama as President and Democratic majorities in both the House and Senate, we have the chance to pursue a more progressive agenda. So what's first on the list for the unions who helped put President-elect Obama and all those Democrats in office? How about , which passed the House last year but was filibustered to failure by a Republican Senate.

EFCA could effectively restore the middle class in our country. It would close between Fortune 500 CEOs making an average of $6,153 an hour and the majority of workers earning an hourly federal minimum wage of $6.55. The question is whether President Obama will make good on his support for EFCA by passing this much-needed legislation during first 100 days. And what are the challenges EFCA faces from anti-union businesses like Wal-Mart?
