Tiddlywiky, a nice reusable notebook
that happen to be quite the cross platform tool

I've used it in the past, and now I have it working on both the Mac and Linux machines.

Here is the link

http://www.tiddlywiki.com/

Oh and it behaves better under firefox... and yes I KNOW I could get it to behave in WIN as well

Now back to work... I LOVE it when I can take notes from one machine to the next, no problem...

Oh did I mention this is free?

3. Oh and I am not wasting drive space by saving multiple copies
they corrected that problem

THANKS to the developers

:-)

Should send them an email, that was one of the reasons I stopped using it before

4. That's great. That was one reason I stopped using it.
The other reason was that, as I'm already running a web server and MySQL to test websites locally, I installed a database driven wiki (Knowledgeroot - http://www.linuxdelta.de/Knowledgeroot.html ) to support a larger amount of accumulating data.

But for many things (day to day information) TiddlyWiki is a great thing. For the others to know, TiddlyWiki is a single file, which is loaded into your browser all at once. It can run on Windows, Linux, Mac and does not require any special software outside of your browser.

The TiddlyWiki runs without a database, even off of a thumbdrive, which for portable information, I would see it as being its greatest application.

FYI, I tried MediaWiki (what Wikipedia runs off of) but for some reason my database kept getting corrupted - twice - something which never has happened with any other PHP/MySQL program ever.
