Any word out of Alaska on vote counting in the Senate race? |
Last I heard Stevens was down by about 800 votes.

1. Looks like no more counting until tomorrow |
Check Alaska Secretary of State's page for schedule of counting. (Google it) won't be finished until 11/19

5. Forty thousand votes remain to be counted |
Most will be counted Friday but there are still a few absentee votes coming in and the will be counted on Monday and the vote count will be completed by Tuesday. State Law says all votes must be counted no later than fifteen days after the election, which means there can be no votes counted after next Tuesday. Votes will be certified on December 1st and only after certification can a recount be requested. The Steven's camp is suggesting Begich will win by enough that they won't request a recount.. I hope they are correct. Begich is up by 824 votes at this moment..
