How long before cries for impeachment? |
|
I'm younger, so have only been acutely aware of our last 3 presidents. I'm interested in people's opinion on this though: do you believe the party not in the White House will find a reason (or make up a reason) for and call for the impeachment for every single President from now on? Given that these calls are generally ignored by most in power anyways (i.e. our lame congress), I could see the last 16 years becoming the norm...

1. It has already begun... |
|
...and Obama hasn't even taken up residence in the White House yet.
Sore losers, all of them. For the first time since 1996, America has elected a President fair and square. And the other side doesn't like it one bit.

2. The right wing has already started talking about impeaching President Obama even before he is sworn |
|
In! Same deal as the right wing media blaming the current economic woes on President-elect Obama.
It is clear they will treat him the same way they treated the Clintons - spend millions investigating anything and everything until they find something - anything - that they can inflate into an impeachable offense.
I hope and believe that Obama will be aware of the danger and be ready to fight these traitors. That is what they are - traitors to the American system of government. They support party over country and self interest over country.

Sounds like most of the Democrats in Congress. When will we be able to hold them accountable?

9. It certainly sounds like many Congress critters! |
|
But I hope we can bring this country over to an administration that will hold people accountable for what they have done. No administration will be ideal for everyone, but what we have had in the recent past is worse than any other in my lifetime.

5. Obama: the first President impeached before taking office |
|
That's what Republicans want to read in their history books.

6. They have about as much a chance as we did |
|
If you haven't got the votes, it's a pipe dream, and they have not, and will not, have the votes for a very, very, long time!

http://www.obamaimpeachment.org/I just noticed that I got more "hits" for "impeach Obama" than "impeach Bush" on the Google.
