What Reagan taught us?
Please help me respond with some catty and funny remarks to a conservative about what Reagan "taught" us?

Here are some of his lines...

"I formed my beliefs as a young man, watching and listening to Ronald Reagan"

"At this time conservatives need to make our voices heard, teach our kids what Reagan taught us, and support local candidates who will speak out against a greater level of government involvement in our lives. We must stand by the belief that government is not the answer but that the American way is self-reliance, determination, and innovation without a government mandate."

1. The same things that Bush did.
-Raid and Rape the national treasury for the wealthiest.
-Cut social benefits for those who need assistance.
-Lie about national security threats.
-Make shady deals with shady characters.
-Lay the blame for societies ills at the feet of your political opponents and the
minority classes.
-Never take responsibility for any wrong that you committed.

2. He taught me you can be an asshole and still be loved in death
Edited on Fri Nov-14-08 06:01 PM by Oregone
He also taught me humans are stupid, and grow even dumber in their views about people the longer those people have been dead.

3. Reagan only taught lie, de-educate the youth, money was the true god
Then wrapped it all up in the flag and shoved it up our asses.

12. Reagan has taught us that ...
... hair dye is in the eye of the beholder.

Reagan has taught us that ideology is more important than medical cures, even when the ideologue could have benefited from a treatment discovered by those godless, heathen scientists and their "stem cell" research! Reagan has taught us that if a bible passage can be misinterpreted to justify my fragile and hateful beliefs, and enough people repeat it, why, that's a good enough reason for all old, Alzheimer-y people to taste the vengeance of my uneducated and equally small-minded god.

Was I created in His image? You betcha!

Reagan has taught us that peace is just the silent prefix to war and privatization. (http://www.wikiality.com/Ronald_Reagan_Peace_Through_Strength_Missile_Silo_Historic_Site)

Reagan has taught us that education is overrated.

Reagan has taught us that when all the hospitals are closed, all the mentally ill are cured!

Reagan has taught us that admitting that you're a "delegater" is the first step in saying "I don't recall."

Reagan has taught us that ignoring an epidemic is the one true sign of leadership.

Reagan has taught us that given enough time and propaganda, morans indoctrinated in the precepts of the failed GOP-ideology will react to the reality of a thorough-ass-kicking-loss in a national election by looking back on the era of their war-criminal-leader as "the good-old-days."

14. He Taught Me That Facts Are Stupid Things
Edited on Fri Nov-14-08 06:49 PM by wellst0nev0ter
He also taught me that you can raise taxes, spill red ink all over and still have morons think you are a "small government conservative"

He taught me that you can sell weapons to Iranians, hightail it out of Lebanon and morons will still think you are "strong on defense"

He taught me that even though middle-class incomes remained stagnant and lower-class incomes have actually fallen during his administration, trickle-down economics still works.

16. Geeeeee
I remember when my father-in-law who was a retired grunt (Army) that was in WWII, Korea and VN before my mother-in-law made him choose retire from the army or she was going to leave. He was a democrat and always thought Reagan was a blowheart. She said he was acting like a president. He knew how to use the press because he came from the hollowwood. He didn't think much of him. He said he was a phoney. He wore makeup and colored his hair. There wasn't much to him. Plus when he left office he left a bigger deficit.
