As I look back over everything Lieberman said, I realize he needs to GO!

"Today, in an interview with right-wing radio host Glenn Beck, Lieberman made clear that he firmly opposes Democrats gaining 60 seats in the Senate, saying that the survival of the country is in doubt if Democrats break the filibuster threshold"

As far as I'm concerned, he's done for. Boot him out completely!

1. He is no longer compatible with the Democratic party. He has
worked against the better interests of our country.

He should not be rewarded for fighting against the Democratic party with false and misleading statements with a chairmanship.

2. Lieberman is not our ally, not our friend...he's a clear enemy of the Democrats.
He needs a boot-assisted one-way trip to the door.

4. His ouster would be some change I can believe in.
He does not belong in the Democratic party.

5. I was ambivalent about him, in that I thought he had to resign his chair
on the Homeland Security committee, but kind of thought he could still caucus with the Democratic party. But after reading a compilation of Lieberman's Greatest Hits (worst hits?) from Think Progress, I totally turned off even on still having him as part of the party, because he was just so odious.

Simple stuff like being in favor of AG Gonzales, and campaigning for Norm Coleman who I like less everyday and hope the recount has Franken kicking his ass, and being mealy-mouthd on torture--what gives? He does not represent us--and I wish the good folks of CT had a way to get rid of him sooner, since they kind of thought they were still voting for a Democrat. Even if he lost the Dem primary last time--2012, Joe. Don't mind the Mayans--but it'll be over for you.

7. He has been a traitor to the Democratic Party in so many ways it is impossible
to keep track.

If he was at all serious about that Democrat/60 seats/survival of the country crap It can be assumed that he won't vote with the Dems anyway.

8. He needed to go from the time he debated Dick Cheney in
in the 2000 election and basically agreed with everything Dick Cheney had to say. I believe it did as much damage to Al Gore then as Sarah Palin did to John McCain in this election. That's when I turned on him, but many were loathe to criticize him back then. It wasn't hard to see that there was a snake in the woodpile there however most people didn't want to believe it.

12. Yep. I've been saying that myself for quite some time....
There are, inexplicably, numerous posters here that have some reason that jerk shouldn't be exiled from the Democratic caucus.

13. I think there is a very tiny segment of the Dem Party which is slightly right wing...
They might be the ones favoring keeping Lieberman. I think they should jettison him and not ponder it anymore. He's damaged the Democratic Party over and over, and he was instrumental in bankrupting our country.
