I wanted to donate myself... I've been without a job since September and I just got my first paycheck today... It wasn't much but I was going to use some of it to make a donation to DU - which I have been a member of since 2001.

I know people have to be hurting out there and it looks like its going to get much worse - I managed to find a job assembling computers here in AZ - it doesn't pay much but there is overtime - the company says this particular division is experiencing growth but the rest of the company is under a hiring freeze. In a meeting yesterday management expressed some optimism about next quarter projections but also expressed concerns about the effects the economy may be having on its suppliers. I am hoping this will be a good port in a storm but I'm more than a little concerned about what the future holds. I trust Obama will do everything he can to get the country moving in the right direction - I sincerely hope he has the same vision of a new "Green" industry that I have been day dreaming about.
