A client of mine came up with an index to measure just how blue the new reps are...
He researched a wide range of variables...

well, I let him take it from here....

There is a new Congress coming to Washington DC. The town is going to be painted Blue.

With president-elect Obama and a new Democratic Congress with so many new members, progressive organizations still face a challenge. There are different shades of blue. Between now and the beginning of the 111th Congress, progressive organizations need to know everything they can about the incoming senators and representatives. Strategies must be organized now in order to be ready on Day One to do more.

The True Blue Index rates the incoming Congress using a combination of interest group ratings, legislative histories, campaign finance information, issue positions and external factors.

Check out the Index. Eric is a really conscious progressive who has worked as an advocate for labor related issues in Cleveland, Ohio and Washington DC.

He's smart, real smart and I am proud to call him friend.

I get to say I knew him when...

Check it out. It's really a cool way of gaging the efficacy of the new congress.

1. It's very interesting...
The rankings are certainly useful...

But, there's one thing I wish he'd done: Shown us just how he decided to rank those folks in those ways...

You should be proud!

And that goes both ways...
