HELP! Anahiem Hills Fire: Pets in danger
Edited on Sat Nov-15-08 05:14 PM by itsrobert
My Mother in law lives in Anaheim Hills along S. Country Glen Way She is not home right now and trying to get back there to evacuate her dogs. Is anyone in that area and can you tell us the status?

5. Oh no!!!
Hopefully they have a way to take all the animals if they have to evac!

My friends in Lake View Terrace had to evac with three horses last month, they ended up fine, hope you and yours are fine too.

17. Yeah. I'm fine.
This day has been fucking crazy. Thankfully I'm in safety and was reunited with my dogs. The groomers they were at were forced to evac as well and they took the dogs to a safe location.

3. Active flames on BOTH sides of the 91 freeway in the Yorba Linda
area.

Check out KCAL 9 tv's website, they might have video and maps.

I will look to see if there's fire/evac map but Orange Co isn't on the ball like LA Co is, so they don't have them so much.

7. IF I recall .... Imperial Hwy is a land route that may be available from the north ...
One can also take Katella, which turns into Villa Park, which turns into Santiago Canyon .... or Orangethorpe east, which runs into Kramer, Tustin, Lakeview or Imperial to enter Anaheim Hills from the North ....

They may have closed portions of those roads, but there should be some way to gain access to that area ...

Google Maps is your friend : http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Anaheim+Hills+CA&sll=33.863574,-117.837982&sspn=0.030504,0.055275&ie=UTF8&ll=33.853168,-117.788887&spn=0.064437,0.11055&z=13

Tell your mom to stay away from there.

I just realized my assistant's dad lives right there near Weir Canyon in the evacuation area and she was going down there this weekend for her birthday celebration. SHIT.
