Question about the Democratic Senate majority:

I have read that if the three remaining undecided senate seats go to the Dems, we will get a filibuster proof majority. Does that majority depend on Lieberman's caususing with the Democrats?

1. The 60 seat majority includes Liebermann.

We have 57 given seats right now. 55 dem seats plus Sanders & Lieberman who caucus with the dems.

I don't know what to think of Lieberman. Part of me thinks his conscience wouldn't let him vote to filibuster the EFCA, or serious effort on global warming as his voting record on domestic issues is strongly liberal. But I could be wrong. He supported GOP candidates for senate & presidency this election cycle.

In 2010 his threats to caucus with the GOP can be ignored though, the dems will probably/hopefully pick up another 3-6 seats in 2010.
