It started out a warm windy day, and thousands turned out at reflecting pool in front of Capitol.













Then came the rain.



But we stayed dutifully on the sidewalks for the rally up to Lafayette Square in front of White House.

3. Hey, I was there!

I'd say the crowd was at least 3,000. When we got to the National Monument (my friend and I were near the front) there were still people by the Capital. So maybe more than 3,000.

The folks that had to wait for us to pass seemed to be pretty receptive, I didn't hear any derogatory statements from anyone... overall a great day for civil rights.

500 people there.

14. I was in DC for an antiwar march 2 years ago

When we got back to our hotel after the march, we watched the TV coverage. CNN said "thousands" were there and FOX said "hundreds".

There were 700,000.
