OK, once and for all - how do you pronounce the Mayor of Los Angeles' name?

9. I think the 'rye' is not stressed

and so it is of small consequence whether you use 'rye', 'ray, or 'rah', since it is such a short section of the word ... VEEEEEahhhreGOSSSSSahhh, or VEEEEEahhhriGOSSSSSahhh, or VEEEEEahhhryeGOSSSSSahhh

I am pretty sure the stress falls on the 'GO' part ....

VEE - ah - re - GO - sah ...

That was my belief ....
