We had a good turnout in Anchorage today despite some confusion over start time, chilly temperatures and occasional snow/sleet. Especially gratifying was that many people honked and waved in support and no one was negative.

6. Our 32-plus year marriage is hardly threatened, either.

WTF??? You'd think these marriage-or-bust types would be CELEBRATING the idea that two people in that much love would want to lock themselves in, to each other, legally and permanently. And if any children were involved - there's your much-lauded two-parent family, then.

I always go straight there - that it must mean there are thousands of marriages out there that are on such thin ice already that a couple of gays getting married would just absolutely up-end them forever and ever. What a shame! How awful it must be for those poor unfortunate folks to have marriages already that shaky, 'eh? It's THEIR loss.

It is so great to see 12,000 people come together in Los Angeles, because that is what you expect in LA. However, to see my friends in Alaska out on the streets, spreading the word of equality, that is so wonderful. Thank you so much for posting these pictures.
