According to staffers high up in the Obama transition team, President-Elect Obama is set to offer a cabinet position to a prominent member of the online community Democratic Underground!

Reportedly, on Monday, DUer leftofthedial will be offered the position of Secretary of Whatever.

According to sources, when asked of the possibility of leftofthedial being offered a cabinet post, Rahm Emanuel replied, "Whatever."

This marks the first Obama appointment that has not been met with widespread approval on the popular Internet site, Democratic Underground.

It is expected that a related announcement will follow this week, when PE Obama will announce his choice for Secretary of WTF.

Yep...no sooner is the Election decided then the Post Election conjecturing and speculation began both here and in the corporate media. Not a single thing can or will President Obama do without it being looked over 15 different ways for 300 different explanations with 1,000 different scenarios. No sooner is a name tossed out or some move made, it's chum in the water...open season to read into with little more than rumor to back it up. But that doesn't matter...it's keeping people busy.

Kudos to the Obama transition for recognizing how skittish and outright goofy the corporate media has become in trying to either name a cabinet or guess a member or some other silly game. I'm hoping these names or "leaks" are driving people nuts...it's not as though we won't know the answer soon enough, and it's President Obama's choice, not ours or the corporate media's that matters.

While you may want a job in the cabinet...I want some of that bail-out money. I could use a spare billion...I don't think anyone would notice...
