Why all the effort after the vote instead of before? Are we surprised at the outcome? Was it expected to fail?

But was propped up by electronic vote counting. Really, no one should be surprised. They couldn't steal it from Obama, so they settled for seconds.
Afterall, pretty much the same people who own the voting machines are against gay rights.

I'm sure there are many people who mistakenly thought it would fail, too.
I didn't really know about the organized effort by the Mormon and Catholic Churches. I was focused on the presidential race.
