4. NPA didn't think the public should know that the public's money was given out?
She said Vision Vancouver was wrong to leak details of the loan negotiations to the public.

So in her mind it is okay to whatever they want with the public money but it is a sin to let the public be made aware of the scam.

effing hosers indeed. Congrats HeyHey!

6. Funny thing was they had already voted to APPROVE the deal
They were just hoping it somehow wouldn't come to light. The leak was the City's Chief Financial Officer.... she just couldn't take it so she told the press.

8. Congratulations.
I knew you guys up north were smarter than that. Now if you can convince those Alaskans to do the same it would be most appreciated.

10. Here's a good editorial that basically explains why robertson won

He gives people hope... and he's already been an MLA so it's not just political naivety.

11. I'd say it's a trend. Left or center-left winning elections (including presidencies)
all over South America: (presidents + most national legislatures) Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, and, this year, Paraguay!. Peru will be next (Bushbot 'free tradist' president has a 20% approval rating, like Bush.) In Central America, Guatemala just elected its first progressive government, ever. Nicaragua elected Sandinista Daniel Ortega. The FMLN will likely follow suit in El Salvador early next year. Honduras just gave the Bushites a punch in the nose and joined ALBA (Bolivarian trade group). And Mexico came within a hairsbreadth--0.05%--of electing a leftist a couple of years ago, and will probably go left next time around.

Maybe we can count Obama as center-left--we'll see--but at least the fascist Bushwhacks have been whacked, and whacked good. And is Canada's national government next for a return to the Canadian peoples' true progressive/leftist roots? Dunno, but it certainly is the overwhelming trend in the western hemisphere.

Hats off to Vancouver for leading the leftist trend in the north!

13. Good job! Thank you for everything you've done to get this globe moving
in the progressive direction!

I sort of have this image of all of us in a Flintstones-like car madly moving our feet...
