WAAAAAAH - Wall Street Cat Sits on 4 Boards - Busted for Lying About Wharton MBA
A director of several publicly-traded companies is the latest official to admit that his corporate biography is embellished.

Proxy statements for Lamar Advertising Co., a Baton Rouge, La., operator of outdoor advertising, claimed that Thomas Reifenheiser, a director, earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

But Mr. Reifenheiser, 73 years old, acknowledged Thursday that he didn't receive an MBA from Wharton.

"It was a very busy time for me, and I just never completed it," Mr. Reifenheiser said in a telephone interview. He said he was aware that Lamar's proxy listed him with an inaccurate degree, but "I just didn't bother" to correct the proxy, he said. "It was immaterial as far as I was concerned, and it happened a long time ago," he said.

1. Why do all these assholes think it doesn't matter if it was a long time ago?

3. Because They Got Away With It For So Long
Which proves they're smarter than anyone else and deserve all the millions they got by lying on their resumé.

Now.

That said.

If he wants to go back to the Dean's office and ask them to give him the MBA after all these years, that's Wharton's business to decide.

8. Because their last name is not "Clinton"
If it were, they'd be responsible for everything from the Plague of Justinian in 545 to the failure of New Coke in 1985.

6. Another One - Jeff Papows LOTUS/IBM
What do you think would happen to you if your boss found out you were lying about the need to leave early from work to attend Marine reserve meetings and you weren't even in the reserves? How about if you kept a flying suit hung on the back of your office door because you were a jet fighter pilot and might need it if you are scrambled and you really weren't ever a pilot (you were a air traffic controller)? OK - how about if you listed a Phd from Pepperdine University on your resume and it turned out the Phd was really from a correspondence school?

If you were Jeff Papows, CEO of Lotus Corporation (a division of IBM), when all the lies were uncovered back in 1999, NOTHING HAPPENED. He kept his job, bonuses, stock options, etc.

While IBM was firing thousands of workers near retirement age and chopping the defined benefit plan pension into little pieces and telling employees the promise to provide lifetime health insurance was "not in writing", it always takes care of its executives.

Bastards.

7. Related to bush, is he?
Good lord, is this behavior genetic?

Is there a line somewhere early in life where people like these are detected and immediately inducted into the Republican lifestyle?

" Ooops. let's pass on this kid, I hear he has a moral compass , a conscience, a chin, and is probably not a closeted something or the other."
Next!!"
